Internship at the Center for Leadership & Social Change

I am a graduating senior at Florida State University majoring in creative writing. For the last year, I have been a media intern at the Center for Leadership & Social Change at FSU. The center's mission is to "transform lives through leadership education, identity development, and community engagement." They accomplish this through a multitude of programs designed to give students and faculty the opportunity to learn from each other and their community in order to grow and effect positive change on themselves and their surroundings.
My job at the center has involved many projects over the past year. Earlier in the year, I was focused more on writing, contributing between ten and twenty articles to the center's website. During the fall, however, as I have had less opportunities to write for the center, I have been tasked with editing instead. I have edited work ranging from weekly roundups and newsletters to webpages about center programs like ServScript, Non-Profit Internships, and Mentoring Institutes. I was also able to assist with filming and editing a few videos for the center.
